Reservoir Dogs Review

Okay, I'm excited to do this review. This review is going to be on the 1992 independent crime-thriller "Reservoir Dogs"
This was Quentin Tarantino's feature film debut and it didn't get too much attention during its release in the United States due to poor promotion and it only getting a small release in theaters after being screened at film festivals throughout 1992.
After the huge success of Tarantino's next film "Pulp Fiction" this has received massive acclaim and is now considered by many as one of the greatest independent films ever made.
The movie was produced on an extremely low budget and Tarantino originally intended it to be a short black & white film before getting enough money to make it a full film.
Well, that's enough of the history of the film for now. On to the review! The movie starts off with eight guys having breakfast and they're planning out a big diamond heist!
Six of the men go by aliases, including: Mr. Brown, Mr. Blue, Mr. Orange, Mr. Blonde and Mr. Pink. The others are mobboss Joe Cabot and his son and underboss Eddie.
The introduction scene goes on for awhile before the opening credits began and I feel the scene has some pretty funny dialog and it's a good way to introduce you to the main and side characters you see throughout the film.
Now we go into probably the most awesome and epic opining credit sequences I've ever seen in a film. All eight characters walk past the truck in slow motion and the song "Little Green Bag" plays. This scene has been referenced allot such as in the "Jimmy Neutron" episode "Send In The Clones" and the Simpsons episode "Jazzy and the Pussycats" it is a powerful sequence that really gets you pumped up for the movie.
The film then cuts to Orange screaming in pain from being shot in the stomach and White drives him to a warehouse where he is through the rest of the movie, dying slowly in a pool of blood.
Mr. Pink then shows up. I absolutely loved Mr. Pink, every scene in this movie he's in is just epic and funny. He basically has a huge fight with white about taking Orange to the hospital or not, and they pull guns out on each other.
Mr. Blonde shows up, he apparently is a psychotic loon and kills and torturers others for his own enjoyment. I mean he holds a cop hostage and they all three then beat the crap out of him.
This is a really violent film. It includes a pretty graphic torture sequence where Blond tries to set the police officer Nash on fire.
Orange, who somehow is still alive shoots the crazy ass bastard, dead, and he and Nash are both alone suffering.
This movie goes into allot of flashbacks that explain some of the events before the Diamond heist, we see how Orange was shot as well as how Mr. Pink got his name. I won't talk too much about that scene, but it is really funny.
Eddie, Pink and White return to the warehouse,Orange tries to tell them the truth that Blonde was insane and planning to kill them all and take the diamonds to himself.
Eddie is an idiot and thinks that crazy asshole Blonde was actually a true friend.
Joe then arrives and attempts to kill Orange. White pulls out a gun to him, which leads Eddie to point a gun to him, we then get a Mexican standoff, which is actually freaking awesome and leads a great climax. Joe and Eddie both die from gunshots.
Mr. Pink takes the diamonds to himself and gets out, Orange confesses he was a police officer under cover, and the fuzz comes in and shoots White. I already spoiled enough as it is, so I'm not gonna give away too much of the ending.
So, there is Reservoir Dogs, and what did I think about it?? It was freaking outstanding!!!
I loved every minute of this film. It had tons of great dialog, witty him at and a great soundtrack of '70s music.
I heavily recommend you check this film out if you haven't seen it. I wouldn't recommend it to kids under the age of Fifteen at least, or people who get offended by allot of cursing, this movie has allot of heavy cursing, but it's honestly so awesome and good I don't think people would even care about all the F-bombs.
I would say this is in my top five favorite films! It's truly a masterpiece and an epic classic. Reservoir Dogs gets five stars from me. Make that five gold stars!
