Race For Your Life, Charlie Brown Review

This review is going to be on the 1977 Peanuts film Race For Your Life, Charlie Brown.

this was the third of five theatrical Peanuts movie and the story is about Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang go to camp where they have a big river raft race, and they gotta face off with three bullies.

My first problem with this film is that it's way too mean spirited and I feel it's not very heatfelt like other Peanuts movies.

I mean, when the kids make Charlie Brown the leader of the group that just blame him for everything and I feel while the boys and girls are in secret groups during the race, the girls just treat the boys horribly. I mean, they literally let them almost die in the freezing water.

Not to mention, the camp bus misses Charlie Brown twice, but I did really enjoy the parts where Snoopy drives Charlie Brown around with his motorcycle. Another part of the film I loved was in the beginning where Sally, while on the bus waves to two children and the little girl sticks her tongue out.

Another problem I have with the movie is I feel some of the side lesser known Peanuts characters like Frieda and Franklin and Violet don't get enough screen time. That's why I really like The Peanuts movie, the latest film because we get to see more of the side characters that were forgotten after the 1960s specials.

Overall, I can't say Race For Your Life, Charlie Brown is one of my favorite Peanuts Films, it's still good though and I had fun watching it. I would say if you're a big Peanuts fan like me then this movie is worth a watch.
