I Funny Review
Hello, and Happy New Years Eve, and yes, I'm doing another book review. This is actually the first of two more blogs I got planned for new years.
This review is on another book by James Patterson, I Funny. I think this book was published around 2012 maybe.
The book tells the story of a crippled kid named Jamie, and he's really talented and it's basically about becoming a popular kid comic.
He lives with some of his relatives in Smileyville and he befriends a cool girl at his school who eventually becomes a love interest.
The story really is touching, especially towards the end were Jamie gives a back story on what happened to his sister and parents.
also, we find out about a hospital that Jamie had to stay at after a tragedy he faced and he made some nice friends there, who were kids who also suffered injuries, including one kid who had an injury to the brain and a young kind girl named Carly. He shows the cool girl around the hospital and he makes everybody laugh and have a good time.
I love the comic pages in this book, they're really fun and they get you to enjoy the story even more. There is also tons of cultural references, much more then House Of Robots. Social media plays a big part in the story and there's references to allot of comedians, Disney Channel and even a Spongebob reference. It's definitely a fun read.
I Funny was a book full of tons of fun, relatable characters and a story with very down to earth morals that actually help you in the real world. The story tells you that laughter is the best medicine and it honestly is. They say laugher adds much more years into the life.
That's all for this review. I heavily recommend you give I Funny a read as well as James Patterson's other works, because he's for sure one of my favorite Authors, even though some people dislike that he co authors allot of his book. Anyway I'll be back with another blog tonight.
