Last month the block The 90s Are All That On Teen Nick was rebranded into the Splat, which is a block that plays multiple different cartoons, and live action shows from Nickelodeon's classic library. I've been pretty blown away by it, especially during the premiere week where they aired shows that haven't been aired in two decades, like You Can't Do That On Television, Welcome Freshmen, Roundhouse and Weinerville.
Another great thing they do is replay classic commercials and bumpers for the classic nicktoons that haven't aired since the 90s. They for sure have dedication for this block and I can tell they really care for their older fans. This is why I don't bash on Nickelodeon anymore because they care more and are much more respectful to their older audience then say Disney.
I know people are angry the block wasn't given a full channel or that the classic shows can't be seen on the regular Nickelodeon, well, if this block gets good support maybe Teen Nick could change into the Splat as a whole. I mean look at what a step up this block is from The 90s are all That. Where I live the block starts about three hours earlier, but I know that were allot of people live it starts at 10 at night. I am enjoying The Splat so far and I do think the scheduling could use a little improvement such as trying to get as many 90s show they can in there like they did the first week instead of having half the block a marathon of a show each different week, but I'm still really enjoying it. I might give some thoughts on the new Nicktoons crossover movie as well as that has been on my mind lately.
